Traveling to Elche
By plane: the Alicante-Elche (ALC) international airport is close to Elche (19 km). The airport website contains a list of regular and low cost airlines flying to/from Alicante-Elche.
By train: Elche is connected with Alicante (28 km) by RENFE commuter trains. Tickets can be purchased in advance via the RENFE website or on the fly in the stations. Up to ten direct AVE or Alvia high-speed trains travel the Alicante-Madrid route (420 km) every day, some of which take just over two hours. The Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas (MAD) international airport is the largest airport in Europe by size.
